This one was a bitch ...
I've encountered several builds already that I scrapped, since they were inherently flawed. I tried to salvage the first Lucretias build for one or two days before I gave in to that inner voice that kept on whispering louder and louder "This build does not work, Shivs". Well, the second version of Lucretias did work and it did from the begining.
The Prefab 02 was similar but also dramatically different - early on I ran into problems in the build; it wasn't flowing as it should, something about the whole proportions and form was wrong. The original idea was to build a flat house with just one level, but I soon added a second level. But it didn't work and made the build look more like a fortress than anything else. At that point I was close to scrapping the build, but I knew that there was potential; more potential than in the flawed first Lucretias build. So I scrapped the additional level and returned to the original vision, and the voice that was whispering "scrap it" changed it's tune to "this might work".
Well in the end I finished the build, but it was a close call ... very close.
So what is the Prefab 02? It's best described as a very modern villa with ample open space that carries a futuristic vibe ... I feels at home in the mediterranean as well as in Miami ... or as a an outpost on some forlorn planet with lots of sun and water;)
While i built the house as a residential structure, it's equally suited for a shop/business function and its long hallway and wide open spaces also provide ample opportunity to display pictures or sculpture artwork.
Now, enough of my rambling, lets have some pictures:)
The build is not yet fully finished - I have finished the alignment of prims and rough texturing, but I still have to fine-tune the texture alignment on all textures in the house. I'm also thinking of adding some optional waterfront additions, like a quay for your speedboats ... and yeah the front door is still missing ;)
